Type
Millefiori honey is produced from the nectar gathered in a floral biodiversity area. The bees primarily forage on wild and cultivated plants found in hills, woodlands, olive groves, vegetable gardens, vineyards, and cereal fields of the Cervaro valley.
Organoleptic properties
Hue: Ranges from light to dark amber, with variations influenced by the season and the surroundings.
Aroma: Intense and complex, featuring floral, herbal, and occasionally fruity notes.
Taste: Velvety, balanced, with an aftertaste that varies based on the harvest period.
Crystallization: Natural and spontaneous, typically uniform and consistent.
State of matter
It naturally crystallizes over time. It can be turned again into a fluid by heating in a bain-marie at a temperature that does not exceed 40°C.
Production process
Harvested from stationary hives in Monti Dauni.
Honey extraction takes place at the licensed “Oro Lucano” laboratory (Banzi – Potenza).
No heat treatment or additives.
Coarse filtering preserves its natural characteristics.
