Franciacorta Rosé DOCG Sparkling Wine, Duchessa di Smerillo
This Franciacorta Brut Rosé DOCG is the result of a skilful blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two international grape varieties that complement each other perfectly when used to produce sparkling wine. The former is responsible for the rich, fruity bouquet on the nose, whilst the atter lends that fresh profile that makes it so pleasant to drink.
After harvesting, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees, before undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle, where they remain on the lees for 36 months.
TASTING NOTES
In the glass, it presents a deep pink colour, with a fine, persistent effervescence.
The nose reveals refreshing notes of blackberry and raspberry, whilst on the palate it offers a fresh, beautifully balanced taste.
PAIRINGS
Extremely versatile in the kitchen, it’s perfect for aperitifs, served with seafood starters and cold cuts.
It’s also worth trying with a gourmet pizza.
